Commissions Information and Rules
These are My Rules, and helpful information for those who are serious about paying for my services. I don't have time for people who want to contemplate on my services, either you want them or not. I will not bend my rules for anyone, I don't care if you are my blood relative. Business is Business regardless of who you are to me. This being said only serious people apply for my commissions. Before doing so, read this whole journal- THOROUGHLY!
Things I will NOT Do:
- Hentai, Porn, Yaoi, or anything explicit or suggestive in sexual behavior. Sorry I don't do things to get your jolly's off on.
- Fan Art. I am sorry but I'm not for profiting off of someone else's characters. I wouldn't want someone to do that with my art, and I would want the same respect in return. Original characters only.
- NO COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL! This pretty much goes hand in hand with rule #2.
- Realism. Plain and simple, I'm not that great at it, and I'm not going to sell crap to my customers.
- Traditional Mediums I don't own too many paints, pastels, markers, crayons and color pencils. Besides, my best medium is digital. Although Sketches and line arts are a different story.
- Mechas, Cars, Trucks, Planes, etc. For the same reason as #3.
- Pieces with 3 or more subjects in them. Mostly for time reasons but also for pricing as well.
- Business Logos. Sorry, but I would charge a considerable amount for those since I know it will be used commercially. This is for personal pieces, not for your business.
- Comics. It will take too long to map out the panels, text/script, coloring, etc. It's best this way- trust me.
Things I WILL do:
- Avatars
- Chibis
- Faces, Busts, Full Body
- Sketches (#2 Pencil)
- Line Art (sketched and then inked digitally or traditionally)
- Color and/or Black & White
- Backgrounds
- Animations (for Avatars only.)
Other Things To Keep In Mind:
- I will only do 4 commissions at a time. Once all are finished I will be open for more. This is to ensure that I am not drowning in both college work and business work and to make sure you as a customer do not get screwed over and are waiting longer then you should for your piece.
- I only accept payments through paypal. No cash, check, money order, and especially transfer of funds from your bank account to mine. It's not only dangerous for both of us in regards to security, but I just don't tell people my account number. Paypal is the safest route as well as the fastest.
- I require a %15 down payment towards the purchase up front. This is to ensure that you are in fact a serious buyer and to save me from wasting my time on a piece someone will not pay for.
- I will keep in contact with you through dA notes, email, and phone (if need be.) With the communication it helps to reassure the customer that I am in fact making progress and I can provide images of it periodically if it's a big piece. I will more than likely post screen shots here in dA to help with this as well.
- Don't constantly pester me on how far I am on a piece. Good pieces take time, or you are probably behind someone in line. Rushing me doesn't do anything, but piss me off. Trust me, that's not something you want to do- especially if I have your %15. I will keep in contact with you as I have stated above.
- I HAVE NO DEADLINES! Nor will I work under one. Then again I'm not going to string you out over 2 months on a piece without letting you know the progress. If this is the case I will gladly send back your %15 if something came up and I was unable to finish your piece in a respectable time frame. Although you won't get a hard copy or digital copy of what I had already done if I send back the 15%. This is only if an Emergency happens on my end, not the other way around.
- I will only send the finished product after I am paid in full. No monies, no finished product. You flake out on the deal, I reserve the right to hold your 15%. No exceptions. I don't have time to make art for people and not be paid. You don't get something for nothing.
- You are only purchasing prints of 8x10 inches or a digital copy 8x10 inches or 8.5x11 inches at 300 res (this does not apply to Avatars since those are 50x50 px.) When purchasing these you can use them where ever you wish- they are yours. Although I will NOT give you the Photoshop/Working files. Those are for me, and me alone.
- I will give status updates VIA my dA journal and other communications we have for this deal. When I send you or upload my progress on the piece it will have watermarks galore. This is to ensure you don't run off with it and not pay me in full.
- I might add to this list if things come up in the future or I think of it as time goes by.
- If for some reason you do not like what I have created once I am finished and will not pay for the piece, then I have the right to keep your 15%. I'm not going to go through all that trouble and get nothing.
- I have the right to post these images/work on my personal website, DeviantArt under "Commissions" with several water markings and have the right to use them for resumes and portfolios.
- I reserve the right not to take on your request for what ever reason.
How To Request A Commission:
Please Leave Me A Note On This Account With The Following:
- Make sure the subject says COMMISSION.
- A link to a very descriptive, front view, back view, side view, reference to the character or subject, and a paragraph description of the characters outlook, props, any additional info you feel is important and personality. (Fan Art can be found by me, just make sure to give me the title of the anime, cartoon, character, subject, etc.)
- If it's a personal character/subject, I need your permission to display the image publicly.
- If you just want Multiple or a single character. (no more than 3)
- You can choose a pose, attire, facial expression, or leave it all to me, it's your choice. Reference pictures would be useful so don’t be afraid to link, or send them to me.
- How you would like the image, B&W, colored, traditional, etc. Being specific is a plus.
- If you'd like a background, blank, specific design, or leave it up to me, it's your choice.
- Any additional information for the commission would be greatly appreciated. If you want to add anything else that you feel is important, please feel free to mention it.
- Include your E-Mail so that we can keep in touch in more than 1 way and so that I can send you the finished digital piece, for Paypal purposes, or anything else that comes to mind.
*NOTE: You may be charged extra for certain things or if you change your mind after I have agreed to provide my services.*
Whether Or Not I Can Accept Or Decline:
- I will NOTE you whether I accept the commission or not, there should not be a reason for me to decline unless I'm to busy, or something arises causing me not to take on anymore.
- If you cause me to much stress, harass me, stalk me, troll me, flame me, or decide to take advantage of what I'm doing then I will not do the commission.
- If you flake out of the deal, or cheat to try and finagle me to get a cheaper price, then I'm not taking on your request.
Payment
- I will NOTE you with the price, after I approve of your request and after I am finished with the piece. These prices my differ if you have changed your request, and might be considerably high if you constantly have me change things or make me change something detrimental when I am 90% finished. I will do my best to be fair for you and myself.
- I will send you an invoice from PayPal. All you have to do is agree and pay for it how ever you would with PayPal.
- I will NOTE you when I receive your 15% payment and start that very same day on your image.
- I will NOTE you and E-Mail you when I receive your final payment in full. I will then either email you your digital piece or send your print(s) through the US Postal system.
- If you want a print, you pay for shipping and handling which will be included in your final price.
Receiving The Image:
- I can send you the Image through E-mail, so make sure to include your E-mail with your first and last NOTE.
- If you would like it through regular mail then be ready to NOTE me your home address. Please tell me before hand so I can do my best on this side (Print proper size, Gather things like envelopes, stamps, and include it in your pricing.)
Approximate Time Frame
- I understand that not everyone is online everyday of the week, every hour of the day so just do your best to respond to my NOTEs, if you take more than 5 business days to return my NOTE I will place you one spot lower in the waiting line. I’ll get to you but not at the expense of others if you want to take your time.
- You must also understand that I am in college and my primary job is parenting a 2 year old and that this is for the extra cash, not my primary means of earning a living. But I am a firm believer in quality first and for most. Rushing will not help in that department. If I rush you wont be happy with the image and neither will I.
- If something happens that keeps me from doing the commission I will make sure to contact you in advance.

ALL PAYMENT IS THROUGH PAYPAL TO Lydzreturns@aol.com account.
As I have mentioned several times above, I only accept payments through PayPal. No Exceptions.
