Why Artists Shouldn't Do Art For Free
I'm seriously not trying to come off as an asshole, or to call anyone in particular out. But this is something I seriously need to get off my chest, as it is a subject that is very important to me. If you value me and respect my work, you will read it, and hear me out.
I am an artist. Yes, that means I create art, whether it's digitally, or traditionally. With a camera, or with paints. I love what I do. I have been blessed with a talent. A skill. A trade. Even with this, I go to school, for years, to refine my skills and master them. Much like any other person in a profession.
Does not a mechanic work hard, and had to learn quite a bit, a
Massive Uploading
Some of you may have noticed the massive amount of uploads in your inboxes. I apologize for that. I was uploading everything that I have done in college. Well, not everything, but a decent amount. I have uploaded sketches from life models, sculpture, and some digital paintings. I've been doing this so that I could update my blog and get it ready for 8th quarter portfolio review... and quite possibly to show my Department Head something so I can get an internship somewhere. If your curious, you can check it out- feel free to add me, and give me pointers on the layout too!

Halo Armor
I'm in the costuming spirit. I'm actually kinda bored with being just a Dirty Tusken... I need to spice somethings up.
I plan before the next PAX (hopefully before Emerald City Comic Con but I doubt it) I'll have my Halo ODST/DARE armor finished along with my original Jedi in Mandalorian armor (Jedi Collison lololol) to be finished.
I recently bought a Mandalorian bucket from a friend of mine, I'm waiting for him to tell me it's ready for pick up, and I'll fetch it and paint it. All I need to do on the Mando is go out and buy some Sintra in Seattle at a plastics place called TAP. Then I'll start cutting out my Mando armor and shaping it to
4th Quarter
Well I finished my 3rd quarter. I'm uncertain what my final grades are, but I think I got 2 A's and 2 B's. Either way, I got good grades and I learned a great deal this quarter. Next quarter should be interesting since at the end of the quarter I'll be up for 4th Quarter review, which is a hardcore portfolio review that gauges one's progress, and whether or not your program really is for you or not. I need to draw a lot. I think I need to fill 4 sketch books to present, and then I can bring a few color prints of my digital work or have my computer ready for them to review my 3D modeling and such. I'm kinda nervous about filling 4 sketchbooks
